Gold vermeil
Vermeil generally refers to gold applied over sterling silver, subject to local definitions. Because terminology can vary by jurisdiction, check the seller’s full material specification rather than relying on the word alone.
Which lasts longer?
Durability depends on gold-layer thickness, wear, surface preparation and use. Vermeil is not automatically permanent; it can still wear through.
